New power coming to NWP as lease runs out on Ex-ATSF 1322.
Author: weather

The lease on one of NWP's engines, the ex ATSF 1322 has run out and it being returned to Diesel Motive in Turlock.  Sunday was its last run on the NWP.  its seen here in South Petaluma just after crossing the new Haystack lift span.  Last night, it was the third unit on the Cal Northern Lombard turn, sitting in Cordelia and headed for the night run to Roseville.  My apolgies, I have a problem in I-photos when uploading pics. The are correct when I chose them to up load but are inverted when attacted.  Anyone offer help?  Mike Pechner.

Until you figure out the solution, rotate the photos in your computer like you are posting them up side down.  Then they should post correctly.

Regardless of what you do, please keep posting your NWP photos.

Where exactly is that first photo? I'm trying to place it, because it looks more like the Highway 37 crossing.
Oh, and what new power are they getting?

Uh, Mike, photo 1 looks extremely suspiciously like the Highway 37 crossing at Sears Point, not Petaluma. You might double-check / update your notes.

The ol' 1322 and 1321 with their slugs were yard power at Newton for a loooong time, but I don't ever remember it looking like that second shot.....oh wait a minute, there was one night.

Now if only NWP would get a steam locomotive to do the switching......

Great photos Mike.
