UP Herzog Train south on Joint Line

Thanks to a timely heads up, caught UP 5355 with a Herzog loaded rock train on Colorado's Joint line late this afternoon. The first shot is at Larkspur, with the remaining shots at Spruce (between Greenland and Palmer Lake). The colorful hoppers contrasted nicely with the blue skies.

When NS had those cars here in the east, it got nicknamed "The Candy Cane Train"

NICE photos of a neat-looking train! And NO graffiti!! A great-looking train.

Yup -- the "candy-cane train" -- LOL!! And in mint condition, too! (Sorry -- couldn't resist!)
