Dark clouds and sun along the BNSF
Author: Q4960

The weather forecast for Saturday, July 21st, 2018 called for mostly cloudy skies and the threat of rain and thunderstorms along the BNSF Chilli Sub here in Central Illinois.  I set out in hopes of getting some sun which did happen as I spent a couple of hours in the small village of Reading, milepost 94.  The first photo is of a wesbound, then an eastbound going past a very fine residence in the town.  Heavy rain finally moved in as witnessed in the third photo of an eastbound manifest just east of Toluca.

I was uncertain whether to wait around for the last westbound before darkness set in but I'm glad I did.  The rain stopped and the skies partly cleared to give off enough light for this autorack train pulled by a pair of KCS locomotives just east of Route 251 south of Wenona.

That first one is fantastic, but I like me the second one too.
