Probably the last Drone flying weather of the year in Tacoma...
Author: DelMonteX

....so, I took an hour of afternoon soon and cool clouds to fly some interesting spots in the Tacoma area.

1 & 2)  This is the new mostly complete auto loading facility in Tacoma on the Blair waterway.  This facility, owned by the Port of Tacoma, is  leased to and operated by Wallenius Wilhelmsen.
Nissan's are shipped here and Tacoma Rail will build up 3 trains of 60 cars a week, delivered to UP .    Three of the six tracks are complete and in service.

3)   As I was finishing up the with the auto facility, I heard the mournful sounds of a TR MP15 off in the distance, blowing for crossings.  So I waited around and that paid off.  Here they are bring a train down with a few cars for the EB1 facility.

4) Here's the train setting out a gondola and a couple of flat cars with tractors that will find homes overseas.

5 & 6) Down near Day Island (University Place), I got the Cascades 505 and some pretty nice skies.

Nice pictures. My favorite is #4. Good to see John Deere and Cat still shipping some by rail.

After the fun and games at the airport in London are you getting any unwanted attention when you fly your drone these days?

I do my best to be inconspicuous.  People like that are going to ruin it for the rest of us.
