A Few Tidbits
Author: trainmandan

Thought I'd share a few images of some action caught in the Chicagoland area, as well as one back near my hometown of Dixon. Enjoy!

1) Starting with the Dixon area, UP 6706, the last UP unit still painted in C&NW colors, leads IPDG2 east of Nelson.

2) Now in Chicagoland, an IHB job rumbles east through Dolton Junction.

3) A CN SD70M-2 leads a manifest east through Dyer, IN.

4) The cars comprising Metra's Operation North Pole trainset lead an inbound through Elmhurst on UP's Geneva Subdivision.

5) A brand new UP SD70AH leads a manifest south through Norma Junction on UP's New Line in Des Plaines.

6) A Ferromex SD70ACe leads CP 288 through Norma, headed for Bensenville Yard.

Thanks for looking!

I'm assuming the "Operation North Pole" cars were wrapped and not painted.  So, how difficult is it
to take that wrap off after the event?  I wouldn't think Metra would want them running around very long
looking like that.  I'm probably wrong here.
