Another Bite at the UP 2002 Apple
Author: TexBob

Last Friday night, I missed the action shot of UP 2002 leading a loaded rock train through my neck of the wooods.
I settled for a shot of it, tied down at Eureka. Because it wasn't on the move, I had to dock myself several points.

Just as my thoughts were turning to bedtime tonight, I got word that UP 2002 was out of Rosenberg, all of 15 miles
west of me, with a loaded rock train. My first reaction was "Crap!". But then I thought "NP, I have my lights ready to go.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained."

After quickly throwing everything in the car, I made my way to Stafford, near MP 20.25, where literally moments after
getting set up, the ROGJV 17 came by at 2251 with its all-star lash-up of UP 2002 / NS 1065 / UP 7786.

Camera is not near the lights so the flash doesn't reflect into the camera

That paint job held up amazingly well. Or has it been repainted at some point?

It was either touched up or given a full repaint in Little Rock last year.
