A unique locomotive.
Does anyone know which locomotive donated its mid-section ?

New Westminster, British Columbia.

Was this necessary because of an engine compartment fire, like a turbo blowout?

There certainly a unique exhaust stack on the center section.

Thanks for pointing out the stack.

The stack thing has been going on for while with Dash9's. Its for storage so they can cover the stack up. But BNSF 4729 got into a nasty wreck at Bellmont AZ about 20 years ago.

The adjacent 716 had the same exhaust stack.

Thanks for catching this one.  I saw it passing through Bend, Oregon last Tuesday
but was unable to get a photo.

Don't know if it actually got a 'heart' transplant or just a new suit coat.

Perhaps we’ll get a sister unit,

A Warbonnet turned Pumpkin sandwich.

Wonder what the donor unit was and what kind of damage it had?
