What does the reporting mark EEC on the blue boxcar stand for?

East Erie Commercial, which served the GE locomotive plant at Eire, Pa.

Another crummy UP hi-cube, nice. I'm waiting for one of those to pop up again at the team track in Norwalk, CA. I know I've seen them there several times in the past few years.

What is going on with LRS box car in photo 3? Very strange. Looks like top was raised. Doors not full height. Any info ?

Those cars had their roofs raised about 25 years ago. I believe they had HS (Hartford & Slocumb) reporting marks and were painted green for Stone Container. Many were stored on the KB&S in Illinois when they weren't needed and in between leasing companies.
