Western Railroad Discussion > Video of 3-mile-long coal trainDate: 09/06/20 18:28 Video of 3-mile-long coal train Author: bmarti7 The BNSF has been combining loaded coal trains in Mandan more frequently. Today they sent the BNSF 7569 east with a 2-4-2 loco set-up. I was on a mission driving from downtown Bismarck to a housing area northwest of town on the Missouri River. I caught this dash cam video of the lead, pulling hard, along West Main in Bismarck. Then I skipped the video to River Road, passing the water treatment plant. The rear of the train is still in Mandan. Thanks for looking.
