Western Railroad Discussion > Another Wylie weekend

Since I live about 20 minutes from KCS Wylie World. It easy for me to railfan, and dont have to go far.  Catching the LWY101 on Sunday mornings is what I catch often. Depending on when it coming back eastbound from BNSF Alliance yard in Haslet TX.  They sometimes get back to Wylie before sunrise. Thanks to ATCS software, and my big antenna with a Yaesu VHF radio. I always have the advance intel when its coming back. Usually the Sunday morning run is after sunrise. They do not run this train on Friday and Saturday so its a big train on Sundays.  Here is my Sunday morning catch.

KCS LWY101 on Sunday 09/06/2020

1) Plano TX at White Rock jct.

2) Wylie TX at Brown St.

3) Wylie TX at Ballard Ave.

 Do intermodal trains make appearances on the Wylie to Aliance line?

Is KCS also doing PSR?  Are they cutting to the bone like CSX and NS?

No more intermodal trains on the Alliance sub unless its a detour.

Thanks!  These are actually SD22ECO EMD rebuilds to a greener cleaner enironment friendly locomotive.

Rebuilds of SDP40"s??  Casue that's what they look like.

Yes. They were former NDM SDP40's.  We caught them in December 2009 when they were delivered to the KCS in fresh paint.  At the time of this photo. I didnt know they would be assigned to Wylie Texas.
