Rainy Day Saturday
Author: Quakerengr

After 2 inches of rain this week here in Western Wisconsin,  we are ready for a break...  The Western Wisconsin tip line was activated again today even tho a rain event.

Image 1 is the CP's H-20 Patrol from St Paul, Mn to La Crosse, Wi.  rolling thru Dakota, MN

Image 2 has sand empties train 694 with CP 6232 leading solo also at Dakota, MN

Image 3 has Amtrak #8  the Empire Builder,  On time and rolling through  downtown West Salem, Wi

Couple more

Image 5  has CP train 694  roaring upgrade through West Salem, Wi  following Amtrak 8.  They had to set out 99 sand empties at River Jct, Mn  and take rest of train to the  Unimin Sand plant in Tunnel City, Wi.

Image 6 later in afternoon has train 471, off the  same County "C" highway bridge in West Salem, Wi  with Heritage 7012 on point.  We call this the DM&E connection as it heads west at Minnesota City,  Mn   on what was once the old C&NW,  then the DM&E  now  CP.

Have a great weekend,

PWM
