I snapped this photo of the progress that Carl and Doug have made on the former WP Wheel lathe structure which arrived at the museum in about about 1982. The roof is finished and the sides will go up next. The building is designed to slide apart to provide sufficient room for lowering wheelsets down into the lathe with our cranes. Ingenious! The building has largely been constructed by Carl and Doug but other diesel shop members have assisted with portions of the project over the past few years! Good job guys!!!!

Yes checked it out today and my brother and I we both checked it out.  It's amazing the progress in just the past 2 months.
