BNSF's Low Line train
Author: BrianA

While at Pasco, WA Saturday 9-16-21 I saw BNSF's low line train leaving Pasco for Wallula, WA.  As I was headed for Walla Walla anyway I scouted around a bit and ended up at a grade crossing just north of Wallula and waited.  Patience paid off as here is the BNSF 1473 passing by.  Love the sound of the jointed rail.  This is Union Pacific track which BNSF uses to access Wallula.  Apparently this agreement going back to the time of the Northern Pacific who accessed Wallula the same way.  Would love to know more about this agreement.  From what I can piece together the UP line at one time continued north to Kennewick, Benton City and up to Yakima before being cut back

A truly excellent and exceptional video, great composition and unusual content.
The jointed rail and pole line really add interest from the past.

The hogger used the shortest "longs" I've ever heard, blowing for the crossing. Nice rock and roll on the hi-cube boxes, too.
