Western Railroad Discussion > UP Tie Collector at St Louis 1/22/23Date: 01/24/23 05:05 UP Tie Collector at St Louis 1/22/23 Author: JPB A UP purpose-built scrap tie hauler train loaded with scrap ties departs St Louis for Illinois via the MacArthur Bridge led by a pair of SD60s. I may be mistaken but the lead unit looks to have been recently repainted?

We have old tires stacked along almost the entire right-of-way from Jeff City to Lee's Summit. Been there going on 18 months to 2 years in some locations.
