First, three from the Wiscasset, Waterville & Farmington Railway Museum:

1. As dawn approaches, the day begins. Structures galore in Sheepscot - the (reproduction) oil house at left, the (original WW&F) section house in the background, and the (reproduction) water tank at right.

2. The morning train to Wiscasset has stopped at Alna Center to load LCL.

3. The evening train to Albion returns through Alna Center, where more shipments await.

In North Conway, New Hampshire, the Conway Scenic's ex-Canadian National 0-6-0 7470 is lettered "CNR" for the first time since it left Canada.

There's one problem with your photos John they are too good to be in this contest. You had some in the last contest that were excellent and they didn't even get Honorable mention. Im not a big fan of contests mainly because photos like yours end up on the cutting room floor and most of the time semi-crap makes the final cut. Your work is outstanding and every shot you entered is a winner you know it and I know it and many others know it.

You know, a feller could get a mighty big head if he believed any of what y'all are saying, but thanks.

It takes a lot of people and a lot of effort to put together images like these - without years of work laying track, building buildings, and overhauling equipment they couldn't exist. Pushing the shutter button might be the easiest part of the job.
