8/4/18 around 14:00, 89 degrees, at the Huckleberry Railroad near Flint, MI. It's the annual Railfan Weekend at the Huck! This year a day out with TWO HOT LADIES!😁 Newly restored Alaskan RR 152 is running a shop visitor shuttle from the depot while D&RGW K-27 464 is on duty with the passenger train. Lots of RR displays inside Crossroads Village too. If you forgot and missed out today everything repeats Sunday August 5. Come out and enjoy this once a year celebration. Double the Steam, Double the fun!!

The 152's new paint scheme looks great. Compare with this 2007 version complete with snow plow as seen on a Historic Preservation charter.  The plow would be a nice addition on Pete's January charter if it happens. So which paint scheme is more prototypical?

WOW!

I've only seen #152 lettered as Huckleberry Railroad #2, which I first saw in 1983 and last saw in 1998.  I've never seen #464 in anything other than a disassembled state.  With both now up and running, I definitely need to get back up that way again.  Add to that the Greenfield Village Railroad, and there is plenty of steam to be had.

Aunt Alice has suggested I need to come up for a visit........
