Think it took an hour before we could start shooting. Date: 10/29/24 09:47 Re: 2926 on the main Author: dan i fiqured it was pete lerro thing
doing something today-https://www.lerrophotography.com/santa-fe-2926-yard-photo-shoot-oct29/ saw some pics last night from him too Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 10/29/24 10:17 by dan. Ha! NMRX (and NMDOT) have previously said they do not want anything to do with hosting or being responsible for any aspect of 2926 operations (source May 2926 Newsletter). Maybe they are reevaluating their position. Edit: See clarification below. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 10/29/24 16:46 by Cumbresfan. Date: 10/29/24 10:20 Re: 2926 on the main Author: Cumbresfan Notwithstanding my above comment, I'm a long time supporter of the 2926 group. Your picture is stunning. I just made it my Windows background picture.

Good question; I've asked for clarification and an update. Date: 10/29/24 16:14 Re: 2926 on the main Author: santafe199 Looking very good!

Clarification and update: I've received word that it was a general statement, not specifically PTC related, in May. However things have changed and relationships are getting better but with improvement still needed. Events like September rail yards open house and the Lerro photo shoot have shown that the equipment can run safely and reliably over the several miles between our shop on 8th Street and the south rail yards. As for PTC, the group is pushing forward to purchase and install the latest version, and is seeking funding for that purpose. Date: 10/29/24 17:21 Re: 2926 on the main Author: atsf121 Amazing photo! That is so cool to see it out and about.

At what speed and pulling how much load? Simply running as a light engine for just a few miles isn't much of a "test" and doesn't really "break-in" anything. The regular engineer has quite a bit of mainline steam experience. Also, don't believe everything you read on FB. Bryan in AQ |
