Nostalgia & History > An RF&P FreightDate: 10/04/15 15:12 An RF&P Freight Author: MartyBernard RF&P 136 (GP35), 123 (GP40), 135 (GP35), and an E8A in October 1971. Can anybody tell me where Roger Puta took this? Even the nearest town. I assume it's a southbound in the afternoon.

On the RF&P, even numbers engines faced north/east and odd numbered south/west. rfprr Date: 10/05/15 11:18 Re: An RF&P Freight Author: florida581 I would wager that this is Naomi Rd in Fredericksburg. The view should be looking southwest.

"I believe it is East View Curve, better known as Brooke, MP 64 or so. If I'm right, the Brooke VRE station would be behind the engines in this shot..." Date: 10/05/15 14:12 Re: An RF&P Freight Author: MartyBernard Rivannaco Wrote:

Thanks, Marty Bernard Date: 10/05/15 14:40 Re: An RF&P Freight Author: RNinRVR I am also sure this is just north of Fredericksburg based on the building in the background. Those trees seen just before the buildings would be the Rappahannock River.

Look at picture 3 of 3 for the side of the "bridge" that I believe matches your slide. You can even see the power line entering the left portal. Andrew Posted from iPhone Date: 10/06/15 17:50 Re: An RF&P Freight Author: ns2557 Marty, RF&P 136 is still with us today. The paint looks a little rough, but it's still RF&P Blue and Gray. It's down on the Hartwell RR in Lavonia Ga. This shot was taken May 17 2015 Ben
