Nostalgia & History > 5 Encounters With Amtrak 4 -- The 2nd Encounter

I have photographed Amtrak 4, a GE P42DC built in August 1996, on 5 different occasions. The first encounter was in 1999 and the last in 2014. Here is the 2nd encounter.

She's in charge of the southbound Auto Train on the north side of Ashland, VA, just about to pass Randolph-Macon College, and probably in full dynamics to help get the massive train down to the speed limit through town on a beautiful May 15th in 2007.
