No flash maybe, but some clean beautiful reminders of a better time. Thanks for these posts they are really neat to see.

They were better times indeed. I can live with the ways trains have evolved in the 21st Century but the graffiti spoils train-watching for me.

We have a "time machine" to go back and see cleaner and sometimes really clean freight cars.
Dick Eisfeller sells videos of every train: the whole train from many places around the country for 24 hour periods.
His inventory goes back a couple of decades.
His narration explains each train, each location, and a viewer comes away with knowing a lot about the RR business.
Look for his ads as "Big E Productions".
