In MOP blue with a MOP eagle and number, but it does say C&EI inside the buzz saw. Lawrence (Ks.), September 1976.

An interesting photo.   
C&EI was acquired by MP in 1967.  The line to Evansville was sold to the L&N in 1969 but MP retained ownership of the C&EI corporation.  In 1976, the C&EI was merged into MP.  Thereafter the C&EI reporting mark would gradually disappear.

Look for photos of MP boxcar 266541... Badly graffitied but still proudly bearing a C&EI buzzsaw to this day...
