In image #2, is that Rick's bicycle leaning on the pole at left?  Oh, how that Wolf Road area has changed in 58 years!  No station there now.  Gerry

Photo 2 of the CNW train is particularly interesting. You can barely see Proviso from Wolf Road any more.  Certainly no trace of a station, which was relocated west.

If you knew then what you know now, Global II would be sitting there. Selling the land was probably part of what kept CNW alive until UP could purchase it.

All very nice photos. Thanks for posting.

Especially like Photo 2.  The bike is a distraction that can be easily edited out.

I wouldn't touch a thing about that photo, from my perspective any good shot like this of a C&NW road switcher pulling suburban's, especially the early bi-levels is rare
and most appreciated.
Literally some of my earliest memories of trains.
Amazing stuff.

The bike was most probably Ricks.   Marty
