A MILW Joe whereizit, but whats the second to last unit?

Bruce Black took this shot, don't have a location .... tried to ID the unit models but when I got to seond to the last one I couldn't ....

See Evan's posts below to clear this up!!!

E57B by this stage in its career was usually used as a switcher at Harlowton, MT.  The unit still exists:

The E57B's trucks and car body are on display at a park in Harlowton. All electrical equipment and traction motors were gutted.

A complete two unit set, the 10200A&B is on display inside at Lake Superior Railroad Museum in Duluth, MN.

If I read everything correctly, and I don't always do that, the second to the last unit "appears" to be an SD45, of which the Milwaukee had ten,
a number I can be corrected on.  The last unit is the electric box cab.  Just my two cents worth.

They're kinda smushed together by the perspective, Nick, but the last unit is E82 steeple cab, 2nd to last is box cab E57B, then two diesels and two Joes.  It's much more apparent if you follow the link to pictures posted earlier.

The diesels are an SD45 and a GP40 in front of it.

What I wanna know is, with E82 and E57B both out of service, what was doing the work switching that day in Harlowton?  E34C (aka E47D) was a bobtail, and didn't even have a hostler's control.  Heaven forbid - could they have used a "Dismal"?

Locotrol slave and master, respectively. An excellent place to keep these units was right behind the Joes.

Well, that's why I worded my post the way I did as I didn't see the E82.  And good question
about what was doing the switching although I suspect it was a diesel.  A date on this shot
would be useful as it might be near the end of the electrification.

The Deer Lodge roundhouse had a few boxcab hulks which were parts donors. Perhaps if the Harlow E57B switcher needed something heavy like a compressor or traction motor and wheelset or perhaps an entire running gear set it was easier to send the entire locomotive to Deer Lodge than to load the parts into a gondola and ship it to Harlowton. There was the politics between the electrical department and the mechanical department and what to do with a dead pelican. The mechanical folks would want it scrapped and the electrification would like to get if fixed especially if they had parts on hand. How could the roundhouse managers show repairs were cheaper than the scrap value and cost of an SD7 for the tractive effort needed for a replacement Harlow switcher.

This would seem to be a 264 train without enough working diesels or locotrol equipment functioning to run it as 100% diesel.
