Remember when Amtrak borrowed Metra equipment for the Hiawatha's?
Author: mp51w

At Franksville, WI back on Thanksgiving day 1993.
I always thought that was a wise move by Amtrak, to free up
the horizon and amfleet equipment for other trains.
Enjoy your day with friends and family everybody!
That mp4 conversion left some lines on the top.  Sorry!
Nice horn action for Kraut Rd. & then Northwestern Ave(County Hwy K)

Amtrak use to do this throughout the country. I remember out west they use to use Caltrain equipment on Thanksgiving.

Great video - impressive winter scene.
The solid code line is almost as good as the train.

In the East, Amtrak used Metro North passenger cars and FL9 locomotives for its Thanksgiving New York - Albany service in the mid-1980s.
