BN style Author: burlingtonjohn BN SDP45 6599 is nearing the end at the Precision National Plant in Mt Vernon IL on 20 Jan 1991. 6599 had been modified to test an experimental HTBB (high traction B-B) truck for EMD back in the early eighties. The experimental truck was removed and returned to EMD; 6599 was retired in March 1987 at West Burlington. This is the last time I saw the locomotive ....
