.   .   .   in MAR '90, while working the LA Barsow pools, on the westbound return leg of the trip, we meet UP's morning eastbound intermodal train out of LA at Lugo, CA, on Santa Fe's Cajon Sub.

That's the UP I like to remember ... clean power and short FAST trains.  Thanks for sharing your excellent photo. Was that photo taken with a medium format camera ?
