BCRail MLW's make a racket, then nothing....
Author: BrianA

Southbound BC Rail #22 with units 703/730  (C630M/M630W) round the curve after Glenfraser, BC on the Lillooet Sub October 5, 1989 barking up a storm then go stone cold quiet.  Always was an entertaining railroad!

Neat video !!  Glenfraser was a challenging spot southbound.  The descending grade at the north end of Glenfraser was 2point2 percent, then levelled off to about point 4 for half a mile or so and then dropped back down to 2 percent. What you recorded was the hogger going from power applied to get over the "flat spot" at Glenfraser, then power off and going back into dynamic brake.

This is the first time I've ever seen an M630W wide cab.  Do any still exist??  Good looking unit!

Brian,

Thank you for the date of your video.  This is the first time I have seen the BCR 703 in RWB paint scheme,
