Who knows the number of the wrecker crane that was stationed at Minot, ND on the Great Northern RR?? Need picture of righthand side as seen in the 1960's.

According to the Great Northern Railway Co. List of Equipment No. 43 Issued July 15, 1969, wrecking derrick #X-1742D was based at Minot. It is listed at 250 tons capacity.

Heater Car #8 was based at Minot at that time. It was rated at 8000 pounds of steam per hour.

I'm sorry I don't have photographs of either piece of equipment.

Thanks gnfan! At least that is a start for me. Sounds like this was still a steamer and never re-powered to diesel.
