High ISO shooting
Author: Mberry

I went to the Angrignon overpass in Montreal yesterday to shoot CN 309. It was later than I expected and I kept having to boost the ISO as it got later. Here are three shots from last night.

1-It's about 20 minutes before sunset and I'm at ISO 640 as CN 121 heads west with CN 8942, CN 2644 & CN 8895.

2-I'm up to ISO 1250 as VIA 66 heads east led by VIA 916 about 10 minutes after sunset.

3-Five minutes later I'm up to ISO 2000 and there's really not much light left as CN 309 heads west with two ES44AC's (CN 2824 & brand-new CN 2946).

Nice photos.  Sure looks better than the film days - when you switched to ASA400 it was grainy as heck.

Good images for the evening, and moving trains.
