Dreary day on the xBCR Squamish Sub
Author: BCR4619

Set out with fellow friend and T.O. member Helo-Mech yesterday to the Sea to Sky region on the former BCR and was able to catch 571/570.

1. Showed up to the station after breakfast to find 571 attempting to setup the SBU, as I walked up to the power the window opens and the Engineer asked if I was Christian... I guess I am getting well known in these parts by the crews!

2. After setting out the tail end car as the brakes would not release 571 leaves town headed for Lillooet, BC seen here approaching McGuire just south of Whistler, BC

3. Going though the S-Curve at Alta Lake.

4. 570 Approaching Mons at a snails pace.

5. 2922 performing mid-train duties, if you look closely you can see 2974 in the distance. This train was only 38 cars long running with a 1x1 configuration, 568 departed Lillooet, BC sometime in the late afternoon with about 90cars and 4 units for Squamish which made for 3 trains on this day.

6. 570 deep in the Cheakamus Canyon, with warmer temps in recent day and lots of rain the Cheakamus River was flowing pretty good!

Enjoy!
