Canadian Railroads > SD40-2 leaders on CP 253

Increasingly rare in Montreal (as elsewhere), I was lucky to shoot SD40-2 leaders on CP 253 in Lasalle, Qc twice in three days.

1-CP 6017 is leading CP 253 over the St-Lawrence river on January 29th. Trailing are two more EMD products, CP 5029 & CP 7307

2&3-At the same location, EMD products with build dates of 1975 and 2014 (SD40-2 CP 5690 & GP20C-ECO CP 2278) lead a long CP 253 (112 cars) through the same location. Of note is that 5690 was declared surplus in 2013 and 'unretired' in 2014.
