Trains seen on a Trip to Calgary
Author: Train611

Hello...

Last week I travelled from Kamloops to Calgary for personal business. The camera and the scanner are "part of the luggage".

1. At Sicamous I was expecting an eastbound, but CP8830 came first leading a westbound potash train.
We see the double DPU's working over the bridge at Sicamous, on a nice, but cold day.

2. At Field BC we have CP9639 just getting a new crew for the next leg of the trip with a "100 Series" train heading to Calgary and east.

3. While at Field, UP5518 was the lead unit on a westbound CP grain train coming off the Field hill and into the yard for a quick crew change and off to the west.

The roads were in really good condition, and the sky was mostly blue! The scenery was fabulous!

Thanks for looking.

Very nice RG.

Was a contractor still doing drilling work on the Hill?
