Time for a clue. This city once had a different name when part of the former Soviet Union. There are two other stations almost within waking distance, the one below is now a shopping center and  houses and excellent railway museum.

Correct city. But they have five stations. The Waraw station is the one that's now a mall and museum.  So it's not that one. Others are: Baltic, Finlandia, Moskovsky, and Vitebsky. Which is the mystery staiton?

It's Vitebsky....built in 1904 on the sight of the first railway station in the Russian Empire. We didn't have time to go inside which has been beautiuflly restored, as we were  in a taxi on a a tight schedule to visit the railway museum at Warsaw Station and then a high speed train (by Russian standards) to Moscow and onward that evening back to Kiev.

The Sapsan operates at Vmax 250 kph (150 mph), which is high-speed by most international standards (and certainly so by American standards).
