European Railway Station Where is it No. 18

Something a little different. Only a very small part of this station. The eagle might be a clue for the country. The date for the station.

Correct. Originally a stub end station, now undergoing extensive construction to be a through station for HSR running under the structure. Photo is of the train shed before the renovations.

I can't help but recall the German folksong I learned 50+ years ago, Auf de Schwäbsche Eisebahne  or On the Swabian Railway. The song mentions stops on the railway, beginning with Stuttgart (Stuegart) It's a rather catchy tune, and the lyrics poke fun at a farmer who ties his goat to the last car of the train. When he goes to check on the goat, all that's left is the head, which he then uses to hit the conductor, whom he accuses of letting the train travel too fast. The lyrics are in the Swabian dialect, still spoken in the state of Baden-Württemberg.

How ironic? I took this shot of the Stuttgart Hbf four years ago on April 24 2016.
