Eastern Railroad Discussion > CSX/Dupont Caboose Went South

The CSX-Dupont paint scheme M8 caboose which has been store at Bryan Park Locomotive Terminal in Richmond, VA for several days departed Richmond yesterday at 4:30 pm on Q413. I tried to post the info but TO.com was down, and could not. The car would have arrived in Rocky Mount by midnight, and I presume it\'s going back to Hamlet, NC.

What was perfect about this move was that CSX insisted the car ride the REAR of the train, and it looked like CSX had stepped back in time, if however brief, into the SCL days. Man, that looked good on the rear of Q413--and with real windows no less!

HEADS UP, HAMLET.

Varailfan saw it at Collier yesterday. Do you know the caboose#. I can trace it on CSX touchtrace.
