Do they no longer operate the former CSX pumpkin U18B's?

Chris

Excellent shots, looks like new power - hope they paint them in the "Clemson" orange!

Thanks for posting these. My favorite is number eleven with the "Who gave YOU permission to photograph my train?" cow.

I never knew they had any ex-CSX B40-8s... How many do they have and what numbers? Thanks for posting these!

Quite a difference in motive power when I was there in February. Personally, I prefer the orange U18B's. Business must be good if they acquired the new power.

I'm not sure if business is good, or unchanged, but I'm willing to be that they got those units for a song from CSX, as they have purged almost all of the "Tote Boats" from the roster...

Thanks for the comments.

What I've heard is, the ex CSX units will be painted in the orange scheme.

The Belton line will continue to have the older engines operating on it. The "new" engines are to heavy for the line.

Pickens bought four of the B40-8 units from CSX,   all just recently.     5959 & 5975 are the other two and should be out there somewhere.
