Excellent shots, looks like new power - hope they paint them in the "Clemson" orange! Tom Daspit Morgan Hill, CA Tom's Trains Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 01/08/17 13:37 by tomd. Joe Date: 01/08/17 14:31 Re: Pickens Railway Photos Author: refarkas Thanks for posting these. My favorite is number eleven with the "Who gave YOU permission to photograph my train?" cow.

Date: 01/08/17 16:49 Re: Pickens Railway Photos Author: MC6853 I never knew they had any ex-CSX B40-8s... How many do they have and what numbers? Thanks for posting these!

Date: 01/08/17 17:43 Re: Pickens Railway Photos Author: DrLoco I'm not sure if business is good, or unchanged, but I'm willing to be that they got those units for a song from CSX, as they have purged almost all of the "Tote Boats" from the roster...
Sometimes, you buy low and come away with a Cadillac for a Buick price! Date: 01/09/17 05:21 Re: Pickens Railway Photos Author: KV1guy I was going to say the same thing....

What I've heard is, the ex CSX units will be painted in the orange scheme. The Belton line will continue to have the older engines operating on it. The "new" engines are to heavy for the line. Chris Hughes Date: 01/09/17 11:07 Re: Pickens Railway Photos Author: rhmich Pickens bought four of the B40-8 units from CSX, all just recently. 5959 & 5975 are the other two and should be out there somewhere.
