1) Little Critter and it's train on display on the Bill Miller Equipment Co. Yard at Mt. Savage, MD.... If we would have timed it correctly, we might have been able to catch the WMSR Easter Bunny train passing on the tracks in the background... but I forgot it was running Saturday... Bad Daddy! )

2) N789-20 eastbound near Pinto, MD as photographed from the Rt. 956 Bridge. ( to the left of the drag is the former roadbed of the Western Maryland Railway that paralleled the B&O back in the day )

3) N789-20 at Bowling Green, MD.

1) Q317-24 westbound at Dawson, MD.

2) N744-24 (Mettiki Mine Loads) on the Interchange Track at Piedmont, WV waiting to the Q317 to clear out of the east yard at Keyser, WV so the drag can pass thru town.

3) 6:24 pm.... Our last shot of the day... N744-24 eastbound passing the Q317-24 at the EAS West Keyser as the 317 starts to make his set-out into the west yard.

Thank You you for stopping by and having a look.

Tim,
Number #4 and you make an awesome team!!!! Time well spent building those bonds and memories! I taught my number #2 son to drive while chasing NS heritage units several years ago.
I appreciate your pictures and narratives. You and #4, keep them coming.

Doug

I think that special car is owned by a Trainorders member. I didn't know it was his, and when I commented that it looked kind of freaky with that window arrangement I got blasted... I guess it doesn't look bad in that view and it looks very functional.

Thanks DTWilson (Tim) for all the great photos once again and I'm so glad that your #4 son enjoys railroading as well. My #2 Grandson loves railroads too at age 5, but it's hard to keep them interested with so many other things kids enjoy today.

What special times you’re sharing with #4. May you share them for many more years. My son and I were doing likewise late last night when we viewed the Hollywood Beach traversed the new, yet to be completed, rail through Richmond’s ACCA Yard and southbound down the passenger main at West AY. Thank you for sharing your experience and photos.

Always glad to stop by for a look-see. My kids were train nuts until they discovered cars and girls. They still send me a grab shot from their phones when they see something interesting.
Thanks!

I remember Hollywood Beach on the Silver Meteor back in the 60’s in Alexandria Va and wished I could be on it going to Florida and skipping school. There was an article in Trains Magazine a few months ago about it..

I got into maps to see where the tracks went.  Eventually I got a degree in geography, even later became a travel agent.  Not the best paying job but good travel benefits, and when I started, low stress.  Now with the internet you have to work really hard to make a buck.  I'm retired, but I get a lot of right answers on Jeopardy!  Enjoy the time with your sons- "The days are long but the years are short."
