On the east side of Louisville, Ky. there is a trestle on the NS line between Louisville and Danville, Ky.  It's known as the Pope Lick Trestle.  Legend has it that the Pope Lick Monster lives somewhere beneath the trestle. It's part man, part goat, and part sheep.  The trestle is just under 800 feet long and probably 80 to 100 feet above the ground at the highest point.  You have to cross the trestle to lure the monster out of it's hiding place.

This evening, the monster claimed another victim, maybe two.  One person was killed and another taken to the hospital when the monster appeared in the form of a Diesel Locomotive.

In 2016, a couple from Ohio were seeking the monster when a train came around the bend and out of the trees.  The girl died and the man managed to hang onto the trestle while the train passed.  In court, he was charged with trespassing and fined $5000.  The trestle is a popular spot for teens around Haloween.
