Eastern Railroad Discussion > Pup Power Swap on the D&HDate: 04/05/21 12:50 Pup Power Swap on the D&H Author: PennRailVideos 3/25. Headed up to the NEPA once again, and it seems everytime I'm up that way, Luzurne-Susquehanna is always doing a power swap over NS between Hudson and Avoca. Here SW7 #50, built in 1950 for the Pennsy, is going to be swapped out with SW1200 #1265. Before the NS dispatcher could let LS make the move, northbound 12Z had to get out of the way. Here they come past Hudson with a fresh Dash 9 rebuild on the point.
LS 50 is finally let loose to head up to Avoca, the plan was apparently to bring back 'red boi' 1265. Date: 04/05/21 12:53 Re: Pup Power Swap on the D&H Author: PennRailVideos A couple hours later, RJ Corman 1265 came around the bend. This engine has flashing ditchlights which I thought was pretty nifty. 1265 was built in 1963 for the Missouri Pacific.
And finally back onto "home" rails at milepost 686. Date: 04/06/21 09:11 Re: Pup Power Swap on the D&H Author: Gonut1 Good catch! What is a "red boi"?
