W&LE blast from the past
Author: King_Coal

I was lucky to spend a few days in Pennsylvania last week.  One of the highlights was seeing the Wheeling & Lake Erie Connellsville to Rook train pulled by 4 SD40-2s of various heritage.

The sound was enough to bring a pleasant memory of the trains of 30-40 years ago. The video was taken a few miles north of Connellsville as the W&LE climbs away from the CSXT connection and onto the ex-Pittsburgh and West Virginia line. Thanks to the local who helped me find the location to film this treat.

Love the sounds of the stick rail and seeing trains move on a not often seen Alphabet Route remnant.
