After visiting the kids in Columbia, went downtown to the old stomping ground to catch this CSX T303 and NS 50V that was coming to town.  NS 50V had the NS 8101, Central of Georgia, leading today.

Shot 1 is of CSX T303-24 coming across the Broad River on the CN&L Sub into Columbia, SC.
Shot 2 is T303 approaching the fairgrounds as they will have to cross NS to tie their train down at Andrews Siding.
Shot 3 is of NS 50V coming from the junction with the NS R Line on to the SC Line for the final stretch into NS Andrews Yard.

Neat!

I spent almost 3 years at Shaw AFB near Sumter, and got to Columbia several times, but I was only around the tracks in the middle of the night to get on or off Amtrak or to pick up friends there. I now wish I would’ve done some railfanning there!
