Nice, Very nice. I was always disappointed that NS selected to have an EMD unit wear the Beeline Service logo. Reading was such an Alco road but like many others they bought what was available during the scramble to dieselize in the late Forties and Early Fifties. It is interesting to see it didn't come out of the paint shop in a black-dip paint job. Thank you NS.

Well, there is at least a history of RDG EMDs with the "Bee Line Service" logo (SD45s), and if you squint real hard at the SD70's radiator section you can see the family resemblance!  ;-)

Maybe there's hope that the Southern unit will come out looking good too.

I’m sure their new COO being a genuine fan and a modeler has something to do with it…

By the same token, many of the roads represented by the GE units really weren't noted for GE ownership.  Considering the locomotive market share at the time most of the represented roads existed, you could probably make an argument against ANY GE locomotives.

Awesome! Thank you for posting that. Hopefully, they do the same to the 1071 (Central of New Jersey) & 1074 (Lackawanna) while they’re at JBS also.

Given that the Bee Line graphics were on 5 SD45's, 5 C630's and 5 U30C's, I would say that having the heritage unit scheme on an EMD makes as much sense as anything.

Hopefully the PC is one of them.  It looked very worn the last time I saw it.

In true NS fasion I'm sure they did nothing inside the cab. I have upset more then a few when I have bad ordered two of the heritage units in the PNW and removed them from the lead for bad cab issues.

They did that quick!  I was at the turntable in Altoona on March 17th and it was on on eof the shop leads still wearing its old paint and missing the long hood.

8099 is one of the 3 that's scheduled for repaint and I would assume 1071 or 1074 is the other heritage unit be repainted
