Eastern Railroad Discussion > AC power on D723 today

I took my son to the model railroad club this evening, and got a pleasant surprise. We heard D723 heading into the Winchester, VA yard, and went out to watch. In the lead was CSX SD70MAC #784 (Ex-CR 4139) Still in CR Quality paint. Second unit was AC4400 #346 in YN2.

The last time I remember any AC power being on the Shenandoah sub, was just after the snowstorm last February. They brought two AC4400's down here, to move snow from the tracks. It's also been at least 3-4 years, since there were any 70MACs down here.
