Model Railroading > FEMA-MAX prison transport car completed

DOTX 5151 was on display last weekend at BAPM'15. Here it is on the rails at the local train club. Large red Microscale Auto-Max decals on what used to be a Union Pacific lettered Athearn RTR model. It took four sheets of the Microscale decals in order to acquire enough "T" letters to hack up and hand build the required "F" and "E" lettering for both sides of the model. the rest of the letters "MA-MAX" were simply cut from the decal sheets.

I feel so warm and fuzzy that FEMA is here to help.  On my way to get vaccinated.  uh, you gonna eat the rest of that GMO corn dog?... 

Now you just need a HO scale black helicopter to fly above the train.

You must have been desperate to spend $32.00 to letter a ficticious car!  Anyway, it's an interesting one and well done.

Proving once again that the purpose of this hobby is to have fun.

Just need to post it anonymously somewhere on the web, and wait and see how long it is before people think it's real.  I have a feeling that you'd be able to steal lots of happiness that way.

The car sort of needs a herald. Something like the round blue badge with the spread wing herald would look pretty fine. About the same diameter or slightly taller than the height of the letters. About 1/2 the distance to the end of the car at the same level of the lettering. Left of the lettering on the left car and right of the lettering on the right car. Search great seal of the United States for images. Something in blue would look nice.

I wonder if the reporting marks might be GBA for the Guantanamo Bay & Atlantic Railroad.

Ya know, I had thought about picking up some O scale hazmat placard decals, and sticking some Chlorine gas and inhalation warning warning labels on the sides of the model...

For that, formaldehyde would be most appropriate, given that it's what vented from the insulation in all those FEMA trailers afer Katrina.

Chemtrails you mean.  
On my way to work this morning there were about 20 over Portland OR.  So many it was nearly high overcast.  I'd never noticed that many at once before.
