Date: 10/10/17 17:39 Re: Black Widow BL-2 Author: boejoe Pretty good "what if"

Date: 10/10/17 22:02 Re: Black Widow BL-2 Author: MojaveBill If it roves anything it is that the BW scheme looks good on just about anything. Always liked it better than that grey and scarlet mess.

Date: 10/11/17 08:07 Re: Black Widow BL-2 Author: cabman I think this proves the theory that the black widow scheme would look good on anything...even the ugly BL-2!
Date: 10/11/17 08:53 Re: Black Widow BL-2 Author: fbe A pair of the BL-2 units back to back would give 2700 hp to power commuter trains in the day.
There would need to be boilers in the short hoods which was a BL-2 option. The boiler exhaust went up through the cab behind the front window divider. If that pipe was extended a couple of feet off the roof then a barrel oscillating light could be mounted on the roof centered on the window divider with mounts extending the housing ahead of the exhaust like what was done for the sand filler hatch on first generation GP and SD units.] Edited 1 time(s). Bill Date: 10/11/17 11:31 Re: Black Widow BL-2 Author: SantaFeRuss Yikes!! A Southern Pacific "Black Widow" BL2! At least the paint job made that ugly-ass BL2 look better than most other BL2's. Great paint job on this "what if" locomotive.
