Hey Nice Pictures Chris. How many Flxibles are still up there? I almost didn't think there was anymore of these Buses left

So THAT'S what Portland looks like when it's not raining. ;)

Excellent stuff--thanks!

Can anyone in the Portland area suggest a reasonable motel near an LRV stop?

Thanks

During the NRHS convention I stayed at the Comfort Inn at 8225 NE Wasco St., Jct. 82nd and I-84. The Max station is right next to it.

You haven't looked at New Jersey Transit Camden bus lines lately. Beaucoup tired Flexibles!

I stayed at the Holiday Inn a few blocks from Orenco Road station. Very comfortable but hidden hotel. Which is nice, it stays very quiet.

Excellent, Excellent photos Chris!!

I have stayed at the Embassy Suites near the Airport. They either drive you to and from the Airport Max station or you can walk to the first station outside the Airport

Excellent photo's and commentary as usual.

I especially enjoyed the panorama of the intersection in Beaverton, as well as the shots at the Washington Park station.

I stayed at a Super 8 during the NRHS convention, out toward Gresham. 181st and Burnside. MAX is on Burnside.

The downtown area of Portland is FREE on MAX and TRI-MET(bus). If you are coming in by train you can take the #77 right to LaQuinta, Red Lion, or Doubletree and be in the free zone. The #77 is right in front of the station. You can cross Broadway to the Post Office and catch the #9 (free zone) which goes right past Embassy Suits.

The Doubletree and Red Lion are right on MAX. LaQuinta is about three blocks. The Downtown Embassy Suits is about three blocks from the Old Town/Chinatown MAX stop.

Hey Chris, when can I ride that new line? I've seen the construction in Beaverton and it looks pretty close......

TriMet's pushed it back to October or November of this year -- It was originally planned to have it on Westside MAX's tenth anniversary on the weekend of September 13th, but that announcement disappeared quickly. They've even got the schedules posted already!

Great stuff Chris, better than an article in PTJ!

The webmaster should pay you to go round the country and do transit reporting!
