"Australia" 1969.

Back in 1969 i had the good furtune to spend 3 weeks in New South Wales, to record the last big show of NSWGR steam on the Short North between Gosford and Newcastle.
I was pleased that i recorded some of the diesel classes (Will post steam soon).
Shot 1. Alco DL500, or NSWGR 44 class.Built in Australia under licence by A.E.Goodwin. 4401-44100, shown on "Newcastle Flyer" ay Fassifern.
Shot 2 Alco 40 class built by Montreal in Canada built 1951 20 in class 4001-20. on 4002  "Newcastle Flyer" Cardiff Bank.
Shot 3.43 Class (6 in class 4301-06. built 1956-57 A.E Goninan. we see 4305 Tickhole tunnel.

Exceptional photography, always liked Australian Railways. So different, yet so similar to US trains. Alco’s  are great no matter where they operate or who built them.
