EMD Demo 1201 ...help in locating!
Author: Train611

Hello,

A couple of us in western Canada would be really interested in knowing where we could purchase
the EMD 1201 yellow - grey - black paint scheme model.
Thanks for any help.

Google Spring Creek Model Trains out of Nebraska. They have a store with a VERY large stock. Give them a call. They ship.

Everywhere you will find them is MSRP or very near.  Trainworld still has them I believe but I would call to verify.

I just bought one 5 minutes ago at Trainworld in NY.  $299.  They are getting hard to find.  I called 5 places locally thinking I might have better luck but no one had any.
Good Luck

Wow, had no idea that such a short lived paint scheme would be so popular!

I was at Caboose Hobbies in Denver on 3/28 just looking. I asked about the CAT unit and was told that those were long gone. Sold out in just a couple days. I was told that they are trying to get more but did not know if they would be able to.

I am looking to get one but I won't pay full MSRP. I don't need it THAT badly. I actually hope the Walthers SD70ACe turns out to be decent and that they do one at some point. Be a lot less money.

Caboose Stop Hobbies of Cedar Falls, Iowa had a few on hand at a train show this past weekend. Both sound and no sound. Good discounts and great people running the shop!!

Checked with Randy today and he had one of each left. He actually screwed up and double ordered them and still has sold most of them
